What are some video games GIRLS actually want to play? I'm a 14 year old girl. I have a Ps3, but I can't seem too find any good games. I don't want a puzzle game or some mind-thing. I also don't want to hear about Call of Duty and Halo. And just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I want to play barbie, I just want a fun game that isn't all shooting and what-not, although I admit, Grand Theft Auto keeps me entertained for hours. Thanks!

Andrew S. replied: "Little Big Planet is for everyone. Drake's Fortune 1 and 2 are both entertaining. I suggest going to G4 Tech TV show sites (Reviews on the Run, X-Play, etc). CoD and Halo arent the only games in the world. New GTA is coming out soon anyway. The Ballad of Gay Tony, not sure if its a DLC or not tho. Hope this helps."

Mo replied: "race car"

There are so many options on how to customize your character. It costs money though, but you can always ask for Christmas, Hanukkah, whatever, your birthday."

Are the majority of girls that play games into the more hardcore stuff? Someone asked recently why girls get a lot of flak for being gamers, so I was curious what kinds of games most girls play. Do any girls out there really go to the store looking for Barbie Horse Adventure, or are you basically in the same boat with us guys who buy stuff like Gears? Not trying to generalize, I'm just curious what the majority of you play.

Tejan replied: "I've been in a couple clans with girls in Counter-Strike. My girlfriend plays Grand Theft Auto and Need For Speed. My sister plays just about every game I play. Barbie Horse Adventures is for younger girls that like to play with the dolls."

Jessica replied: "I love games like Resident Evil, Zelda that sorta thing. But that's just me, it really depends on the girl."

run baby run replied: "WOW hehe that's funny. I've been playing video games ever since I was little. I remember my Nintendo 64 with my super mario, pacman tetris etc. Those were really good times. I'm pretty versatile with my games. I like anything really and love playing everything from Grand Theft Auto to Gears. It's all good. Barbie adventures are soooooooooooooooo boring. I like my playstations. DS's, X-Box's, Wii's whatever is out there I love playing with."

Teru replied: "i did try to play GTA but really...i'm left handed and my hands-eyes co ordination sucks when using joystick. the hardcore stuff i can go so far is Silent Hill and Siren.if you want to call it hardcore though. : p and no FTS for me.the camera gave me headache."

liss n replied: "I like all of the Zelda games a lot of the classic Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Sega games and am just about finished playing Prince of Persia Sands of time and I like most games but am not really into first person shooters"

amanda p replied: "We play the same games that everyone loves. Not even a girl would play Barbie Horse Adventure because that is a terrible game and I've never played it and never will. I played Gears of War before but I couldn't get into it. My favorites games are Kirby's Dreamland, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Super Punch Out, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Super Mario RPG, Earthbound, Final Fantasty 7, Final Fantasy Tactics, All of the Megaman and Megaman X games, Resident Evil 4, Golden Eye, Super Smash brothers series, The Legend of Zelda series, Harvest Moon 64, Super Mario Brothers 1, 2 and 3, Super Mario World, Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, Mario Galaxy, Street Fighters, Killer Instinct, E.V.O, Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2, Pokemon Red, Okami, and the list goes on and on."

Do guys like it when girls play video games and MMORPGs? l play lots of games. Not only do I play the 'girly' games like Pokemon, Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, etc. I also play games that are usually dominated by males, like WoW/Warcraft III, Halo, a bunch of the Star Wars games, and Starcraft. And I play them A LOT, and say that I am fairly good at them. I am also a huge fan of Nintendo, and I collect old N64 and NES games to play. I go to arcades regularly. Do guys think this is totally kickass and are willing to play games with me, or is it a total turn-off and think girls should stop playing games and go play with Barbie? (I'm not asking if I should change my personality; I'll never stop being myself...I'm just asking if my love for video games turns people off.)

Steveo H replied: "most guys love it when girls play video games. it give them something they like to do with girls. and it takes girls attention away from shopping. lol"

Brandon replied: "yes it is very hot...in fact, the more you play the hotter it is =]"

Only Dan replied: "Sounds good. Just don't obsess over games."

Kevin P replied: "i have kind of mixed feelings about that. its fun hanging out with girls playing video games once in a while, but if they play or want to play all the time i think its a turn off."

lordofthefigs_exe replied: "It won't turn me off (but it won't turn me on). The world needs girls like you to teach those guys a lesson (and teabag them whenever possible)."

lupe_guy_2005 replied: "We only like it if we play too... otherwise, we might get annoyed. Just don't obsess over the games. I have a friend that plays WoW, and so do I, and I enjoy it a lot. It's fun! So yeah, ya get the idea."

Z3US replied: "i think its awesome and sexy lol i think there should be more female gamers"

anthony s replied: "Yea I think it's hot Girls who play video games show boys don't just play the video gamers and girls just do the shopping it doesn't matter some girls say when guys shop it's hot and I say when girls play video games it's hot"

kenshin replied: "as most of us here, net surfers and games are inclined into arcade/electronic games like PC and handset games, i think you'll probably meet guys who would be turned on meeting someone like you who play like we do. just think of a scenario where two WoW players would meet. regardless of gender, they would have a lot of things to talk with. I remember my Highschool days when we (togetehr with my male friends) talk about an online game that we all play. most of our female classmates turns out of place specially when were cracking jokes upon them like comparing then with wicked creatures on the virtual world. it would also be of your advantage that you understand why men loves to play these kinds of games. and probably we all have the same reasons why we got hooked. although it seems like all good there are also bad aspects of being hood with computer/electconics related games but ofcourse if you have been playing all day long not considering how your physical self looks maybe that would turn men off ^_^ your still a lady. anyway it isn't an issue anymore about gender related stuffs. do what youw ant and enjoy what you do and thats it ^_^ . those who would be turned off by the way you play games must have been those old-minded folks which are still bounded by the early days' rules"

What games did you use to play when you were a kid? Me and my neighborhood friends would play war games and use sticks for our rifles. Sometimes we would play dress up and pretend to be superheroes, or knights on a quest, depending on where our imagination took us next. Sometimes, I would play Barbie & Ken with some of our girl neighbors, or with my cousins. The theme would always be Barbie and Ken cheating on each other, then getting back together again. Or either one of them dying. We also used to play "courtroom." I would always be the prossecution. The jury would be our stuffed animals. Sometimes, we paired up with our girl neighbors and pretended to be grown-up couples! It was so funny! We had several playhouses and imagine that we were neighbors. The kids would be dolls!

luckiest_bia replied: "Statues, freeze tag, football, foot races, curb ball, four square, red rover, what time is it mr. fox, water fights....oh thanks for bringing back memories!"

kennilope replied: "Super Mari Bro. the Orginal NES system..."

Napkins replied: "well i used to play with my little bro we had an excessive amount of stuffed animals so we would give them names and biuld a town made from blankets or anything in the room and we would have adventures through the dolls"

vanessa c replied: "every night after dinner, all the kids in our neighborhood would gather at someones house and play kick the can until dark. when we were a bit older, we met at the elementary school and 'played football'. altho innocent, it was a time when we discovered the opposite sex and had out first kisses. when i was very small, my mother would organize afternoon teaparties. we would all dress up in our mother's or grandmother's clothes, make hollyhock dolls and pretend we were grownups. as the other response said,,,thanks for bringing these memories back!"

Sarahhh replied: "well.. i played with my family.. we have 6 kids.. but we always played kick ball and umm mother may i lol.. i dotn know if you guys know what that is but its like one person stands in teh front.. and the others stand in a line and say mother may i have one baby step? and the mother can say yes or no lol.. you could also ask for a scissor step or a run or a large jump.. lol. the mother can say yes or no to anything.. sometimes can eveh say no but suggest something different. now that i think of it its cheap cause the mother can choose favorites to win!! we also played alot of soft ball.. tag.. freeze wed play where we would dance then have to freeze when the music went off.. umm musical chairs.. umm thats it i think lol"

b_friskey replied: "In our neighborhood, Chicago during the '60's, we spent every evening during the summers playing "kick the can". We all came out after dinner and played until the streetlights came on and our mothers would start calling for us to come in. That was the height of the Vietnam war and during the day we would play "war", the boys would be soldiers and we girls had to be nurses. We would always get mad when the boys wouldn't let us fight so we would leave. I never was a big Barbie fan."

Jackie M replied: "Cowboys & indians, tag, cops & robbers. Barbie & Ken, House. We had a cemetary on our street, so sometimes we snuck in, or we pretended to be pioneers behind it. We also pretended to be horses. We'd "jump" over broom sticks and buckets. My best friend and I played detectives. We were "Control" and the bad guys were "Chaos", ala Get Smart. We had agent numbers, as did our two stuffed dogs named Ruff Ruff and Sparky. The dogs could talk and accompanied us everywhere! We fashioned little houses, clothes, even makeshift food and products for them. As we got older, we liked basketball and street hockey at the elementary school that was in walking distance. I was usually the goalie. Thx for the memories!"

Doglover94 replied: "Kidnapers(sit at the edge of the lawn and wait for cars to drive by.when one got close we'd pretend it was a kidnaper and we would have to say "Kidnapers" and run as fast as we could to the front porch and duck be hind the hedge. It was funny because every one stared at us when they drove by.) Tiger in the Jungle(every one hides but one person. that one peson has to come find every one, but if that one person gets tagged than he/she has to start over. But if that one person sees some one and calls out there name, then they are tagged and have to wait on the porch. the piont is to see every one and call out there names before they tag you.) both games we made up."

animedrawer69 replied: "freeze tag, it, hide and go seek.....at night, super mario. Oh yeah good times."

jason d replied: "football, soccer hokey."

j.b replied: "wow i would play like cops and robbers, kickball, and hide and go seek at night. and house. and it was so much fun i wish i could re live it"
